Posioned Justice

This story has amazed me. It hardly inspires anyone who has information about a possible crime to step forward, especially if you're in the US. 'A Poisonous Kind Of Justice' (Independent.co.uk; 31st August 2004)

I've forwarded the article to the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists mailing list. I remember this being initially reported, but remember no follow-ups of note, after the 60 Minutes story. Thanks, Angus!

And sorry about missing you in London. It was a weird trip.

I may be back for Essen...if so...beer?

Sorry to have missed you too. I did have your sisters phone number from a previous trip but I couldn't find it. I was hoping to entice you out for a beer and a chat.

I'll certainly be over at Essen (as long as my Passport gets renewed in time) and it'd be good to catch up. I'll probably try and catch you at the office/home before then though as I have a few questions (as always:p for you.

Take care,

Want to know the really scary thing? G-Men do this kind of thing all the time (here, just sign this false statement and everything will be fine). When I worked for a defense contractor I saw it on a frequent basis. My solution was to avoid getting a clearance.

Lesson? Never sign anything that isn't true, don't assume G-Men are on your side, and always, ALWAYS get a lawyer. Oooh, and avoid working for the government or government contractors.

Fricking Americans are all crazy... present company excluded of course ;-). Seriously, that's the sort of story that leaves you scratching your head and wondering WTF is going on in the world (and that's not an abbreviation for Werewolf The Foresaken either...).

Same reason alot of people here don't report child porn, it's happened here a few times, a guy finds it, reports it and goes to jail for possession of it.

I'm to the point of leaving this country.
