City of Heroes & Chocolate

I'm trying to fight the urge (again - for some reason it just keeps reappearing...) to start playing City of Heroes. This has been an on-and-off urge for about 12-18 months now and I seem to be loosing to it at the mo. So my question is....who amongst you lot plays it and what servers are you on? I think I'll probably end up giving in to it next month when I get paid. Not like I have anything else to do is it (sighs).

My headache is almost gone too thanks to those lovely little Anadin pills. It has been replaced with an overwhelming urge for chocolate.

I think I'll pick up some en route to work in about 30 mins after the cleaner has arrived.

The Inner Chocolate Beast must be sated!!!!

Which US server are you on?

I played it for a little while but found it got rather repetetive (and after finding myself grouped with suicide merchent found myself loaded with a cripling XP-debt). I was on Union though and can allways re-activate if there are people I know playing (which there didn't seem to be when I played before).

Well, there's always Andy who is the UK community manager for the game, after all... :)

Yup. He's a very good mate of mine going back 15 years or so. We were at university together and he was co-best man at my wedding.

Aye, but I presumed there'd be a *slight* level disparity with Andy and level-disparity is even more of a problem in CoH than it is in WoW

While I think about it, I think I still have my Sidekick code sitting around somewhere if anyone wants to try the game out (Angus?) for 15 days.

Yes, but doesn't the whole "sidekicking" mechanism allow people of disparate levels to play together?

Yield to the urge! CoH is effing brilliant!

Virtue is where it's at, on the US servers. It's the unofficial roleplaying server, which means fewer twats.

Well if you get Guild Wars, it has no monthly fees so it might work for you. I play it a lot. Also it looks a lot better than most oher MMORPGs

http://www.owlf.wox.org

That's my guilds website, well the start of it, I'm working on the armour collection, so we can see which armour looks bast. As youknow were all quite vain.

I also play World of Warcraft, however I probably won't renew my subscription, unless I have the cash spare. Though WoW is boring and repetative, it's like Crack, you just cannot stop playing.

I say get Guild Wars, it's £17.99 off play.com, and no monthly fees so you can gete MMORPG fix there, and natter with me Storm and lot of other mad people.

So incase you have not got the drift of this post, GET GUILD WARS.
