Public Health Warning

Do NOT play Civ4.

Especially when working in the morning.

God, I haven't spent almost all night playing a computer game in years! I'm usually either asleep or drunk by now. Tonight I'm neither.

Here's looking forward to being in work in 3-and-a-half-hours anyway.

Hehe. I foolishly bought Broken Sword - The Sleeping Dragon off Becky and I played Friday night until 5 and Saturday night until 6 before I almost fell asleep and then finished it Sunday afternoon. Weekend shot to hell but hey, it was fun. Good adventure game, too.

Something like 25 hours of gameplay, I'd reckon.
It was a whole less frustrating than the previous instalments. Very logical puzzles, various items you could use more than once and none of this "combine handkerchief with toothpaste" business. I even managed to solve the river crossing puzzle on my own.
A bit too much pushing crates about and the timed/action puzzles were let down by the clunky interface (as soon as you figure out how to do something you should be able to do it in adventure games) but otherwise quite nifty. Entertaining story, too.

So its good then?

How different from CivIII?

I am in the process of deciding whether I need it now or can wait for the eventual add-on pack edition.

This is actually the first Civ PC game I've played so I'm afraid I don't know how different it is, sorry :(

Oh dear.
It's like watching a new junkie on his first heavy session...

So tell me...

What Empire you favour? England? America? Egypt?

Welcome (back) to the club :D

Although it has been The Sims and Eve-Online more recently for me, since Civ IV has been a bit buggy on my machine. I will try again with a fresh game tho soon...
