Podcasts....

Hello Dear Readers,

I was wondering if any of you listen to, or make, Podcasts.

If yes, which ones do you listen too (main interest here is in gaming Podcasts but I'm interested in the broader business/entertainment use of them in other industries too). If you produce Podcasts what are the casts you produced and please send me a link so I can hear what you do.

For those users and non-users alike what are your impressions of Podcasts and how do you feel they will evolve in the future?

Many thanks for any and all replies,

Angus

I personally don't own an iPod, and Bert's is such an old one he can't podcast with it.
I do like the idea of the podcasting from what I know of it (which isn't a whole lot sadly).
That said I'm not inclined to go out and buy an iPod, mainly because my Zen is still working perfectly. If that dies mind you, I will buy myself an iPod :)

You don't need an iPod to listen to Podcasts. I listen to them via WinAmp; they're just mp3 formats.

To address the main question, I listen to Paul Tevis' Have Games, Will Travel.

Yeah I know, but I do like the idea that you can just put them on your iPod and drag them along :)
I like portable stuff :)

I listen to Wil Wheatons podcasts (from his own web-site which is usually worth a read) and very occasionally to Riki Gervais on the Guardian web-site

Penn Jillette (the talkative one in Penn & Teller) does one hour show from Vegas which gets podcasted its entirety. I suspect you will absolutely love it:

I listen to the Ogrecave Audio Report and Have Games Will Travel. Both are excellent, if very different.

I like hearing gossip and opinions about the world of gaming, and I like hearing interviews and con reports. I can't remember who did it (Sons of Kyros maybe) but someone podcasted the games design seminar at Gencon US last year which was really handy - that's the sort of thing I find really interesting.

I run GOBLIN: The Gaming Broadcast Network over at: http://www.gbncom.com/

and I produce Yog Radio: http://www.yog-sothoth.com/radio (Gen Con LLC sponsored)

Hope that's of some help.

Paul
