Came home early today with a bad headache :( Took pills and soaked for an hour in the bath. Head still hurting a bit but feels better than before...ho hum

Anyway, a quick question for my American readers. Do you have any public holidays over Easter? We have Friday and Monday off work in the UK and I was wondering if it was the same in the States. Reason I ask is because I have to phone a few companies over there and was wondering if I could do it on Friday/Monday?

Thanks in advance :)

Generally, no. Most folks simply have Easter off because it's a Sunday. (Though, having worked much retail in my life, I've worked plenty of Easter Sundays.)

It depends on where you live. Here in New England school vacation starts tomorrow in many places, and Monday is a regional holiday (disguised here in Mass as "Patriot's Day," but they also have it in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, maybe Conneticut, I'm not sure). What's closed is mixed: a friend of mine's office is closed Monday but her husband's isn't. The post office is open, but I think banks are closed.

While it isn't a Federal holiday, in New England you don't have to file your income taxes until Tuesday, unlike the rest of the country which has to file them on Monday.

In Louisiana I'm pretty sure Friday and Monday were school holidays.

I suspect school vacation week is your biggest problem, so Friday's probably a better bet than Monday.
