Food Poisoning Woes

Latest theory is that I have been suffering from food poison. No idea what triggered it but after throwing up last Monday and having a stomach ache and related pleasentries that is still continuing it seems the most likely option.

Certainly the least major option anyway :p

I've managed to do pretty much zilch today thanks to feeling worn-out and achey. I'm hoping I'll feel better tomorrow but if not then I'll probably try and get an appointment at the docs so they can confirm the problem and maybe give me something if there's stuff to be had for food poisoning (?). I know one thing and that is that this feeling can not continue beyond another day as I just have too much to do and can't afford lying around feeling shit and not being able to accomplish anything either at home or work.

>stuff to be had for food poisoning

The main thing is to fix the dehydration (you can figure out where the water is going without me elaborating, I'm sure). So: plenty of fluids... but not caffeine or alcohol. ;)

I believe they particularly recommend a glass of squash - proper squash, not diet stuff - with a pinch of salt added. This replaces the most important things lost without placing too much strain on the digestion.

Sports drinks, the electrolyte ones (not straight lucozade cos it is pure sugar) for the hydration. If the vomiting has stopped try to eat, don't lete energy levels drop, but nothing to rich.
Go to the chemist and grab some Buscopan tablets. Good for gut spasms and intestinal "issues"

Illness
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well.

Jerry and Renee Grayson of Godsend fame are headed toward your part soon for Dragonmeet. Say Hello to them for me if your paths cross, please.

Seriously, though, are you going to see Led Zeppelin if your intestines stay internal?

Re: Illness
Thanks for the note :)

Could you email me Jerry & Renee's email address as I don't think I have it and I've not heard from them about coming to Dragonmeet since our chat at GenCon. angus @ cubicle7.co.uk is the address to use. I'll mail them afterwards and confirm everything with them so they have space. I'm guessing I probably need to talk to Kevin too just incase he's also coming but hasn't told me :/

I haven't got tickets for Led Zep although have entered a couple of competitions for them just in case I get lucky :p

Take care and catch you soon x
