I know it's a very disturbing - and brutal - story and I am probably going to Hell (if I wasn't already...) for finding it amusing.

I hope the thieves are caught and severely punished as this sort of incident should just be left to black humour sketches and stories.

Well that is... unique.

Have to wonder about the logic of cutting off a leg if it's magical. (Never mind the logic of thinking a leg is magical, I can understand that. But thinking they can get the magic by stealing the leg... that's harder to understand.) But still, seems like the most logical explanation to me.

Hope they catch the thieves (is that the right word?) too

Indeed.

I assume they wanted the healing powers for themselves, - after all its going to be a difficult item to fence.

Mind you , belatedly another thought occurred to me. Dodgy geezers in the market offering healing using the stolen 'magic leg' for a small consideration. They don't even need the original magic leg as after a while one sawn off leg will look much like any other...

Step right up, franchise opportunities here..
