Gaslight Justice League

I've seen this on a couple of friends Journals as well as a Steampunk community I subscribe to and I must say really like the way they've been done.

A redeisgn of the Justice League of America for the Victorian Era ala Gotham By Gaslight.

Aww awesome! I've never actually read any JLA stuff myself, but anything steampunk has instant kudos, and these look really cool.

Hang on - isn't League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on DC too? Is there any chance they might have some very, very cool crossovers..?

DC published the second volume of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen under license from Alan Moore (Alan co-owns all the rights with Kevin O'Neill). The first part was published by America's Best Comics.

Alan Moore fell out quite spectaculary with DC Comics (I think it was due to V For Vendetta when DC and the film-makers issued a statement saying that Alan was greatly impressed with the script and fully endorsed it when he hadn't done). At the time he said that he'd never work with DC or any of their inprints again and would release further volumes of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen through another company.

Not sure what happened since then but I know a third series is planned (and presumably not through DC).
