Heroes Season 3: Villains

Ok, I *AM* going to bed now. But not before sharing the Season 3 Trailer for Heroes 'Villians'. Now I actually enjoyed Season 2 (I say this having just finished watching it on DVD in the last few days). It got a lot of criticism but I really liked it - even if it was unfortunately cut short due to the writers strike. Maybe I liked it because I'd heard a lot of negative commentary about it so wasn't expecting it to be so good. I don't know. All I know is that Heroes is still possibly my favourite show currently on TV and I'm looking forward to Season 3.

Talking of which, let me share with you the trailer... (If you haven't seen Saeson 2 yet it's probably advisable not to watch this yet...)

Roll on September 22nd (US Launch date). Anyone know how quickly it goes up on the NBC site after airing?

I don't mind the adverts and the US IP address isn't an issue for me. I watched the latter part of Season 1 when I was in the States a couple of years ago off the NBC site and the adverts really weren't a problem at all. Certainly something I can live with.

25th Sept.

The US companies are trying to do more simulcasts to drop the need for torenting. I would far rather see it on nice HD TV fer sure :)

Have you seen the alternate Episode 11 (Season 2 Finale) which was filmed to lead in to the second half of Season 2 which never was (due to the Writers Strike)?
On the DVD set they have it on there as well as a talk with the writers about what they had planned (and partially filmed Epsiode 12 & 13) for the second half of the season. All of which is now never to be as Season 3 kicks off the brand new 'Villains' storyarc.
It was very interesting and I'd love to get my hands on the bits they'd already filmed or the storyboards.

I think the only issue I had with Season 2 was it didn't have time to really tell all the stories it wanted to so it got rushed. Another 12 or so episodes could have told the same stuff but in more detail. As it was they had to stuff it all in.

Roll on Season 3!

Apparently it'll be on BBC2 "within days".

Of course, all time is measured in days, so that could be two, seven, or sixty.

While they don't have a date on their website, the BBC are advertising Season 3 for the autumn so it's probably not going to make all that much difference waiting for it on terrestrial TV, IMHO.

That trailer really does look awesome. Indeed, my only gripe with Season 2 was the fact that the writer's strike screwed things up for the storyline and if felt rushed and ultimately I was left a little unsatisfied as all of the potential storylines were cut short. From an interview I saw afterwards they were saying how (vagarity to keep it spoiler-free) the end was supposed to be the exact opposite of what happened; which is actually what I expected to happen. That said, it's not the fault of the makers of the show and I think the quality of Season 2 (despite criticisms) still felt up to par.

The name of the fourth volume has been announced also, according to Wikipedia, as "Fugitives" which will actually make up the end of season three. Huh?
