The Bible in Lego...

The BBC ran an article today (The Bible, But Not As You Know It" BBC News; Thursday 27th November 2008) which spoke about various alterntive versions of the bible. Amidst the selection of Cockney Bibles, Manga Bibles and even a Porn Bible was a picture from a website called The Brick Testament which claims to be The Worlds Largest, Most Comprehensive Illustrated Bible.

It's the bible illustrated by Lego figures.

Thanks for the post- I couldn't remember what the magazine format Bible was called, and of course the article mentions it.

I'm all for exploring alternative forms for the Bible since in it's widely accepted form its hard for most people to read and tends to perpetuate the Evangelical myth of it as a homogeneous God created book than fell in it's entirety from a holy cloud in the sky rather than a mish-mash of pre-selected excerpts, letters and scraps written by blokes that may have been inspired, but also included a lot of their own opinions and attitudes. I really can't see how anyone can come to a mature faith if it's based on such massive misconceptions.
