Very interesting story about the possibility of the 'Spaceplane' program that's been rumoured for the last 20+ years having been recently shelved. The whole affair was incredibly hush-hush by alla ccounts but bits leaked over the years. Now the program is believed to have been stopped altogether Aviation Week & Space Technology have decided to publish all they heard about it so the breakthrough doesn't simply disappear into some filing cabinet under the Pentagon (or somewhere...).
