Day 13 & 14
Day 13 – Most Memorable Character Death
You know, I’m sure I’ve had many a ‘memorable character death’ over the years but my mind is drawing a blank on this apart from my Bunny in ‘Bunnies & Burrows’ getting run over whilst crossing a highway. Sorry folks!
Day 14 – Best Convention Purchase
I’m limiting my answer to this one to the ‘RPG’ arena and ignoring the accessories (such as the fantastic ‘All Rolled Up’ (http://allrolledup.co.uk) or various clothes/costumes that I’ve picked up over the years – not to mention any of the board/card games (hmm… maybe there should be a #BoardgameADay month at somepoint…?).
So, my best convention purchase RPG-wise is ‘Hollow Earth Expedition’ from Exile Game Studios (). I met Jeff, Melissa and the Exile Games crew at their first Gen Con (2006 I think) when they released the game. I loved it and thought it was the best ‘new’ game at the show. I loved it so much that I dragged Jim Searcy from Studio 2 (who was my rep in the States at the time) over to meet them, look at the game and sign them up to get them into distribution.
Hollow Earth is a fantastic game – basically it’s a pulpy 1930’s game full of secret societies, lost civilisations and dinosuars!
I wasn’t the only one who was impressed by the game as it’s been nominated (and won) for a bunch of awards for the main rulebook and supplements over the years.
