The weekly 'Weekend Review'

I'm knackered. It's entirely my own fault but I had a fairly active, sleep-deprived, drug-fuelled weekend which was on the whole totally ace.

B-Movie was fun as always, although we left before some trouble broke out which was not club-related.

Saturday saw me finally clear everything out of the old flats garage (we moved six months ago!) and either dump it or relocate it to the new place (yay! more boxes!! ;-p) for processing. Found a load of old letters and birthday cards from my late teens and early twenties which brought back a lot of memories, the realisation that I could/should have really been shagging alot more people than I was, and a secondary realisation that my memory must be really shite as I couldn't remember a good third of all the people who sent me the cards (nor could I remember which apparent girlfriend I had the nickname 'mouse' for???).

I went shopping in Camden on Sunday to buy some birthday pressies for Sarah. I brought her a nice dress and a top, she brought herself a pair of New Rocks. The dress and New Rocks are being debuted this Friday at Synthetic Culture I believe. We also hit Resurrection Records which reuslted in me being a fair bit poorer, Wagamama's for lunch/dinner, Mega-City Comics and then Camden Odeon to see King Arthur. I was saved a trip down to Charing Cross Road to pick up some flyers as I bumped into Rex on the way out of cinema (he was going in) and he had a couple of handfuls I could nick :-p

Sunday evening/night was catching up with an old friend, sinking almost a bottle of Southern Comfort and half a Vodka (respectively) and having a good chat. A great evening all told. Thanks :)

Having met Sarah, I'm looking forward to dress and boots. :o)

Resurrection Records has that effect, yes. I was glad I had run out of cash when I was at the This Morn' Omina gig (fantastic, btw) so I didn't buy all the CDs I wanted (at least two more).
There's also an evil little record shop in Inverness St that does bargains on rock, blues, soul and funk, among other things, including vinyl.
