Which Film Should I See This Afternoon

OK, one for all of you out in LJ-land.

I'm considering popping over the road to the cinema this afternoon to catch a film. I have three choices of films (having either already seen the others or having no desire to...). So which of these do you think I should try and see today?

Bourne Supremacy
Stepford Wives

I'm heading up the road to buy some lunch now but if I do go to the cinema it'll be about 3.30 so you have a couple of hours to sway my opinion.....

The Stepford Wives is great - but I'm talking about the original. I've heard horrible things about this version though.

I wouldn't imagine there's much between Catwoman and the Bourne Supremacy. Checking my copy of the angusabranson trading card I see a weakness for pretty women - perhaps that swings it in favour of Catwoman?

I wish. Maybe one day it'll happen, it's not like we've not got the IPs or had the interest.

I saw Stepford Wives last night. Lots of laughs to be had.

I had seen the trailer and was really looking forward to it but then was much worried by all the bad reviews. I mean, you expect a few bad reviews for almost every film, but nobody at all was willing to sayt that this film was anything but terrible.

It turned out to be exactly the film I had expected from the trailers. The original it is not but, as comedy remakes go, it is excellent. Great performances from some superb actors, hamming it up to the very limit. There are no complex characters or Life Truths here, but that really wasn't what I was expecting of it. A touch of Death Becomes Her, a pinch of The 'Burbs and a fair dose of Will & Grace. This is not a milestone in cinematic history, but I laughed. A lot.

Catwoman and the Bourne Supremacy ahve just opened, so I expect that the Stepford Wives will finish its run sooner, so if you plan on seeing all three, you should probably see it first anyway. I got a UGC Unlimited Cinema Card about 3 weeks ago and am trying to see every film there is (Except Garfield and Yu-Gi-Oh!).

The next film I am REALLY looking forward to is The Motorcycle Diaries. I've got a real attack of wanderlust at the moment and I loved the book.
