Time Please....

Last orders seem to have been called.

Sarah and I split up last night. We had a good chat about things and both decided it was probably for the best. We're still staying friends and will probably still see each other fairly regularly (she wants to carry on roleplaying with the group for a start so that's every Thursday). We're probably getting together on Monday evening to have another chat but I can't see the decisions reversing themselves.

It's a bit sad but also opens up a whole load of more doors and opportunities. It will also allow me to get a lot more wok done (which I've been putting to one side or delaying). Sarah was also my shortest 'grown-up' relationship racking up three-and-a-half-months. I'm still convinced I've been very lucky in relationships, even the ones that have really hurt at the end had some really good times.

Anyway, not sure what I'm doing tonight. I'm still at work atm, and will probably be until almost 7pm. I then have various choices including Claire's "Return to London" drink at the World's End followed by clubbing. Clubbing wise I'm hoping to go to B-Movie. Of course everything could change as I am knackered already and have to get home and freshen up and then pop over to a friends house quickly before heading into town. Of course I may end up staying at a friends house if 'm too wasted to do anything else.

There is little that I can but just offer a hug and that's about it

Thank you. Appreciated but not really necessary. It was a very mutual decision and whilst their might be a few nagging regrets on both of our parts I think it is probably for the best.
And, more importantly, we get the chance to stay friends. :)

Staying friends is always good, but there are times that a clean break is needed....

Is that the World's End out on King's Road?

No, it's in Camden Town. Just opposite the underground station.

Sorry to hear about the relationship stuff...that bites.

A couple of good friends here in Madison are getting divorced...gaaaaaah. Something's in the air...

Splitting up after only a few months is very different from going through divorce procedures. I know friends who have been divorced, some after only a short time after getting married, and it is never a pretty thing. I've had relationships that have lasted longer than several marriages I know but at the end it's been a lot easier to seperate and go our seperate ways than if we'd ever gotten married (which was considered in one instance).

I know a few people who've split up recently and agree, it must be something in the air.

There is little worse than a good friendship denied. Good luck with getting what you deserve. I'd give you hugs, but somehow I think you'd prefer southern comfort.
