Brief Update

Well, as the last couple of quickie posts have indicated - I'm back in London! (yay!).
Nuremburg was fun - it is a lovely city from the few brief moments I managed to steal to explore it and the trade show I was attending was good. Lots of new games to pick up this year .
The after-show partying wasn't as hectic as many of the other shows which was both a slight disappontment but also a lifesaver in some respects.
Wednesday night was just spent in the hotel bar with Alex and Steve from Esdevium Games as we all arrived at the hotel just before midnight and didn't fancy travelling into town. Thursday evening was spent out with the guys from Games Workshop, Sabertooth Games and Esdevium. It turned out to be the *heavy* drinking night with various cocktails and mixtures being consumed. I have no idea what cocktails I had as we were just ordering a random selection of 11 each time. I pity the poor barman we had as he was pretty much on constant cocktail-making duty ;-p
I managed to escape the show on Friday afternoon (I'd seen eveything I wanted to see, had all the meetings I needed to have, etc) and explored a little bit of Nuremburg. Found a very good alternative/goth clothes shop and pick up a few bits, found a mediocore music shop and grabbed albums by The Cruxshadows, Wumpscut and Das Ich along with an EBM compilation, and was approached by quite a few homeless crusty types that all seemed to know how to ask for money or cigarettes in English ;-p
We (Esdevium, Dave from Static up in Scotland, and a handful of the Scandivaian industry folk) went to a great restaurant on Friday night in the city centre followed by a fairly late night drinking. This wasn't such a great idea as we realised at 5am when our wake-up call came through to get us up in time to reach the airport. Damn those 7am flights. Needless to say I've slept for most today and am now going to have to get myself back into a decent sleeping schedule.
