Bank Holiday Weekend So Far

Weekend has had big yays! with some minor nahs! attached.

The nahs! pretty much revolve around me catching a damn cold. I've been sneezing (sometimes is a quite comical LOUD and EXPRESSIVE fashion) all weekend and it is annoying me. Even a few straight shots of Southern Comfort last night whils6t watching the end of Season 2 of Buffy didn't help me out much.

The Yays! included Grima dn Donna coming down for the weekend. Had good chats with Grim about a number of Cubicle 7 projects and also managed to play his Hentacle Card Game which was very good (and I beat him by over 100 points which was most gratifying :p).

We all stayed in on saturday night and had a double bill of Japnese cinema. The WE were Sasha, Dave, Sarah, Grim, Donna and myself and were later joined by Andy P and Clare once Andy had finished work. The double bill was the brilliant THE GRUDGE and the amusing HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURIS which is a 'horror' musical by the same director (Takashi Miike) who did Audition and Ichi The Killer - which are another two of my favourite Japanese films. THE GRUDGE is being remade for the English-language market by the original director, starring Sarah Michelle Geller. It does look like its a pretty faithful remake too from the clips I've seen of it.

Anyway, must dash as I'm working this morning. We've learbned that Keyvan is having to stay in Iran until at least 21st September as his wife's Visa application isn't due to be heard until then. So with Andy gone and Keyvan out of action for almost another month, we're down to three full-timers here at work. Luckily Sister #3 is currently unemployed and is coming in to help us out. But still, its busy enough without having to train an additional body up to fill the shoes.

Second Hand Games (and art)

Hi folks,

I've just come into possesion of a very large collection of second hand RPGs and wargames. Pretty much all of it is TSR/WotC material ranging from first edition D&D to 2nd Edition AD&D, Marvel RPG, Top Secret, Gangbusters, Boot Hill, Amazing Engine, etc. Some of it is still even shrinkwrapped and the majority of it is in excellent or near mint condition.

I'm going to be cataloging it all over the next week or so but if anyoen has something they'd like me to look out for please let me know.

There are also hundreds of art 'cells' for the front covers of pretty much all of the TSR books printed in the UK/Europe. These are obviously pretty unique and will never be made again. If anyone would like any (favourite book covers, a bit of gaming history - whatever reason) please let me know and make me an offer. I also have access to quite a bit of signed artwork but these will either be ebayed off or sold off at conventions or convention auctions. I also don't have a list of the artwork at present but there's material from most of the famous (and infamous) artists there.

Also, signed copies of books (Limited Edition Alternity, etc) and some old boardgames (Dungeon, D&D Trivia Game, etc).

If interested either drop me a line at home on or give me a shout.

Me and my cold are now going back to checking boxes of goodies.... feels like Christmas :p

There's no place like home...

.....and that's where I'm going now.

I've had enough of (sneeze) this damn cold already (sneeze). Am going home (wow, it's dark already!!!), getting something to nibble/sip and then (probably) cuddling down and falling asleep to the soft melodies of something soothing. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be feeling a lot better (I need to be as it's a busy day at work tomorrow).

Today has been fairly productive. The whole weekend and quite a bit of last week were productive actually. Maybe productivity makes me ill?

Maybe I should not be productive anymore and live my life healty and well?
