Cold Feet

Gee, it's chilly not only under the cold blue sky of day but in the wee hours of night too. My feet are f**king freezing, and I've left my socks and slippers on :(

I guess I should really try and hit the sack but once again I find myself decidely unsleepy. Which is a pain in zee rear end, Mind you I have a day off tomorrow so don;t have to wake up 'early', still it'd be nice to have some of the morning.

Tomorrows plans include meeting up with Kathryn for lunch in Leicester Square (and probably drinks, etc, in the afternoon until she needs to go to work) and meeting Leena sometime tomorrow afternoon/early evening as she's potentially interested in taking the spare room. As I don't think I've ever met Leena before (although apparently we may have done in Reading a few years ago) it'll be interesting to meet up for a drink and a chat and see whether or not we think we'd kill each other co-inhabiting :p

My duvet is looking promising. May go and chuck on a DVD or something. Not really in a reading mood (although saying that I have a rather large backlog of things to read......

Gothy Silliness

Someone on one of the goth LJ Forums just posted a link to site with loads of Gothic Jokes. Whilst I'll let you browse if you're interested I thought I'd copy a handful here as I thought they were amusing......

-----
How do you get a goth out of a tree?
Cut the rope!
-----
Theres a goth walking down the road with a rat on his shoulder. An old
lady walks past, stops, stares at the two and says "Yeuk! What are you
doing with that revolting creature?"
"Squeak squeak squeak!" says the rat.

Wayne Hussey dies and goes to heaven. At the pearly gates, he meets up
with Gabriel who gives him the grand tour of heaven. While touring he
sees many familiar faces including Jimi Hendrix, Ian Curtis, Mary
Shelly, and of course Nick Fiend kinda shows up once in a while... And
then he sees Andrew Eldritch Sitting on a HUUUGE throne.. Wayne Says to
Gabriel "I didn't know Andrew was dead!" Gabriel replies, "Oh, that's
God(tm) He only thinks he's Andrew."

How does a perkygoff paint his ceiling black?
He dyes his hair and starts bouncing.

OK more pubs...... but there were reasons..... :D

Let me first state for the benefit of my LJ readers that whilst I have *seemed* to have spent a lot of my time either in pubs or drinking the old southern comfort a lot recently this is a bit misleading. Yes I have been enjoying the comforts a fair amount but this has been done in moderation and there are many, many days when it is replaced with good old cleansing mineral water ;p

That said, today has been full of pubs.

I met up with gweenwarrior for lunch in Leicester Square before settling down for the afternoon in The Intrepid Fox until she had to go off and work in her own pub (and then face the humiliation of having to continue to serve me drinks whilst she was unable to partake....hehe... boy am I going to pay for that someday!).

Once Ms Warrior headed off to work I toodled down to Stargreen and picked up tickets for The Bravery at the Astoria on May 28. I wanted to see them next week at KOKO but it's all sold out and the May gig may be better for me anyway as hopefully they'll have released an album by then so I'll know more than the one track (just hope I like the others eh?). I then window-shopped in Borders before fatefully wandering into HMV. I am a silly boy, but am also now the proud owner of four new DVDs which I've wanted to get for sometime (HMV has a sale). I got Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow and then the following 3 in their '3 for £20' offer: The Day After Tomorrow, School of Rock and Equilibrium.

I then headed back over to Leccy Sq and met up with nymphomare who was interested in the spare room that's becoming available when Sasha flys the next in mid-March. As we'd never met both of us reckoned meeting up for a drink would be good to ensure that neither of us where complete psycho's (I hide it well in real-life folks....I don't think she suspected a thing...hehehe....ahem). Anyway we then taunted Ms Warrior by drinking whilst she worked. Ms Mare seems like a very nice lady (there you go, you fooled me too!) and even if she doesn't end up moving in I'm sure I'll be seeing more of her in any case. She should be coming over next week for a 'viewing' (Tuesday I think pond823 - so get tidying!!! :p).

Anyway, got home (via KFC which I'm not proud about), watched a bit of telly, and am now contemplating watching one of my new purchases (probably Sky Captains as it is fantastic!!!). Have slight headache but I think I may know the cause of that (damn user picture.....)

See folks, my life isn't all sex, drugs and rock n roll. I buy DVDs too :D
