A Good Evening of Sloppy Seconds......

Had Dom, Seth and Nicole round this evening for some boardgames. Great fun as usual and we even chatted about starting up a new bi-weekly RPG-group with our Board/Card games sessions the alternate weeks.

Anyway, we played Fearsome Floors, Citadels and Settlers of Catan. I can second in the first two and joint first in Settlers (really second as Seth hadn't realised he'd won until my winning turn .... grrrr....:p). I may write more about it later but I don't seem to be having a great deal of LJ time atm and it's also very late and I should be tucked up in bed.

In other good news Norwich beat Newcastle 2-0 to keep our hopes of Premiership survival alive and Everton beat Manchetser United 1-0 which made Nicole incredibly happy (being an Everton fan) and Seth and myself happy (not being Manchester United fans). Dom didn't care as he's not a football fan :p

Anyway, bed calls (or at least my book). Catch you all tomorrow (maybe)!

Juliette Lewis - Punk Queen?

Whilst settling down to listen to some relaxing morning music on Scuzz over my breakfast I was confronted by a new punky band with a female singer. I instantly thought the singer looked familiar and lo-and-behold the latest celeb to turn their hands at a musical career is none other than Juliette Lewis.

Juliette & The Licks have their debut album coming out in May and the song that just playd on Scuzz is definetly quite punk influenced (and proper punk not the Blink 182 variant). Hmm.... I know a few people who'll be interested in seeing more of Ms Lewis ;p

Guess the Lyrics.....

Saw this and thought it sounded an interesting idea. I picked a very 'Angus' song which you'll probably be able to guess pretty quickly. The translation is terrible but still easy to spot if you know the original song :)

1. Pick a song everyone knows.
2. Take the lyrics to babelfish (http://world.altavista.com/) and translate:
a. English to German
b. German to French
c. French to English
3. Copy out the result and see who can guess the song.
