(Film) The Legend of Zorro

This evening ukmonty, mooncadet and myself met up for a meal at Nando's in Finchleyfollowed by mooncadet and myself popping across the car park to see The Legnd of Zorro.

At this stage I'd usually be writing a mini-review of the film but I can't. Not because I wouldn't want to, or it was so bad/good that I couldn't do the film justice using written words (chance would be a fine thing! :p). But I can't because we never got the chance to see the end. With about 30 minutes left all the power went out and everyone was evacuated from the cinema.

There was a fire engine outside when we exited but no sign of a fire (or smell of smoke) and it drove away after about five minutes. Needless to say no one was allowed back in and we were all issued some freebie vouchers for future film going. I managed to grab two but mooncadet got a sudden case of unexplained shyness and only asked for one. Bless her.

Anyway, if anyone who has seen the film could let me know the last half hour of plot that'd be great. I really don't intend to go back and see it - especially only for the last bit - and I'm not sure if it's one I'd get on DVD. The point at which power failed was when Catherine Zeta-Jones had turned up early at The Count's residence whilst the he was still in the meeting with the Europeans and Banderas' character was locked up.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

As for me, I'm going to take the opportunity of 30 minutes extra to my scheduled evening to do some reading, listen to the new Jem CD and then curl up under my duvet for a nights rest.

(News) US Confirms White Phosphorus Use but denies it's a Banned Chemical Weapon

I must admit when I first started hearing reports about the US using White Phosphorus in their attack on Falluja I was hoping it was untrue but had a gut feeling that the Bush Regime could very easily have allowed/authorised it. Then I saw some of the photos taken, primarily of civilians including children and babies, which were undeniably victims of a chemical attack - but again photos unfortunately doesn't make it certain that the events were actually from Falluja.

Today however The Pentagon has admitted that US Troops used White Phosphorus after the US State Department and Military have been denying the fact. The Pentagon have claimed that the State Departments original statement denying it's use was old and based upon "poor information".

The US is not a signatory of an international agreement banning the use of White Phosphorus and upholds the claim that it is used as an incendiary weapon against enemy combatants to bring them out of hiding places other more traditional weapons can't reach.

You know, I check LJ way too much. I should MOVE AWAY from the computer and GET A LIFE!

Or at least go and get some food. It's 11pm for Christ-sakes and I've not had any dinner yet!

And what's worse is I've been doing stuff on the computer and LJ for the last hour and haven't even had music playing since the Ladytron CD stopped when I was chatting to Delphine and Alexandre!! I must be MAD. MAD I TELL YOU!!!!

Ahem. Right. Sorry about that. Food then new CD. Right. I think I have that....

(Meme) Some Heart Coloured Shit...why do I do these???

I think I'm going to sign off for the night. I really aren't getting anything constructive done.

Early night with music and a good book. Plus my mobile as people seem to like playing 'Text Angus' at the moment. Oh, maybe some Sudoku puzzles too whilst I'm at it.

See you all either tomorrow or in about five minutes time!!!
