Happy Christmas Folks!

Been a pretty good day today. Decided I needed to ply chocolate gifts to a few people so went for a quick shop to grab boxes of chocolately goodness to give as a little additional present or two, plus some English magazines that Delphine said she fancied. Also got my own fix of satsuma's (they must be my favourite fruit - or are at least vying for that position with watermelons :p) which should last me a few days (I did get rather *a lot*!).

Then I popped over to ukmonty's for afternoon drinks with his good self and various other folk whom I hadn't seen in a very long time. After a couple of cans there I ended up heading down to The Dev to meet kekhmet to pass on a DVD she wanted to borrow (hope you like it!). The Dev was very quiet (possibly about a dozen or so people) and it was quite strange going drinking on Christmas Eve (actually the whole day was strange as this was the first Christmas Eve that I've not worked in about 17 or 18 years!!!!). Camden was just so quiet, the tubes where empty and no one seemed to be in the streets on the way home. It's the quietest I think I've ever seen London in an evening....

Anyway, the rest of the evening was spent having an Indian with Jade and then vodka with Jade and Louisa (once she got back from work poor girl...). I also finished wrapping all of the presents and now need to sleep so I'm actually awake when my sister comes over tomorrow morning to pick me up. Off to my mothers for Christmas day which is always nice, relaxing, and full of very good food. I do enjoy Christmas' round there although many of my friends seem to find it strange that we don't drink anything at Christmas. Alcohol has never been part of our Christmas (to be honest I've never been a big drinker - ok, I guess when I drink I tend to drink a lot but I don't actually drink that often...) and I find it equally strange that some families use Christmas as an excuse to get pissed! :p

So, we're now into Christmas Day already. I have texts to prove it too! (Thanks people!).

I guess all that's left to do right now is to get some sleep and to wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS regardless of whether you celebrate it as part of a religion or as an excuse to buy each other gifts and have a few days of relaxation!

Hope you all have a good one!

Had an enjoyable day with the family today. Lots of good food and good company. Everyone was happy with the presents I gave them which was nice and after we'd finally finished Christmas lunch (about 4/5 o'clock I think!) we crashed out in front of Toy Story. I wandered over and picked up Sarah so she could join us for a couple of hours as I think she was finally a bit lonely and wanted to get out of the house and into a more 'family' atmospehere. My Mum and sisters haven't seen her for ages (well before we actually split up! Maybe not since sometime last year in fact!) so it was nice for them all to catch up a bit.

Watched the Dr Who Christmas Special which I thought was good entertainment, full of in-jokes and references, and with a trailer at the end for the orthcoming season that looks fantastic (Anthony Head! K-9! Cybermen! Lots of cool stuff!!).

Am now still very full and extremely tired. Bed is rapidly calling my name and I think I'll have a very fitful sleep tonight.

Tomorrow is a bit of work (if I wake up early enough), a trip over to Psyche's in the early PM and then off to my Mums again in the mid-afternoon to catch up with some family friends and play games and eat more food!

Hope you guys and gals had a nice day and to also catch you soon!

Night!
