Old Friend

Gothic Dating Website

I spotted a small soundbite in this evenings thelondonpaper (one of London's freebie commuter 'news'papers) tucked beside an article on various gay stereotypes and hangouts (did you know there is such a thing as a chav-fetish scene for gay men into hoodies and trainers????) talking about a Gothic dating/friendship site.

I've not followed the link yet so I've no idea what it's actually like but I thought I'd mention it here for anyone who might be interested. Louisa (one of my housemates) reminded me about it earlier as she'd seen the same article.

Anyway, here's the soundbite for you:

Make Up and Make Out
If you're a signle Goth looking for love or friendship, a new website could be the answer.
The site has been designed to make it easy for members to find others who share their interests, via a large number of "Gothic Groups"
With forums, blogs and instant messaging, find your Goth soulmate on

(PS - hehe... just spotted they have an advert for Vampire: The Requiem on there site. So atleast it seems to be Roleplayer friendly for all of the RPGer Goths out there! Oh, it also looks like it's an American site although I've no idea about membership breakdown as I've not checked that out)

(Finchley) The Prestige - Saturday 11th November

Anyone up for coming to see The Prestige with me at the North Finchley VUE on Saturday? Starting time is 11.40AM.

Please let me know by text or comment if interested.

Right now I'm off to the gym for hopefully a work out and swimming combo if I have enough time (and energy!). Then it's hightailing it back home to let the cleaner in and getting on with some work for the rest of the day (apart from a small trip to Tesco's for resupplies) and then this evening is off to my Mums for her birthday meal and to see my sisters.

Not 100% sure I'll be a B-Movie tomorrow night (I'm having to see how work is going) but I'll definetly be at Slimelight (atleast for a bit until my common sens ekicks in) on Saturday after the Conjure One gig.

Who else is out and about this weekend?

Dragonmeet Website Updated

Hi folks,

It's been a long time coming but I've just updated the Dragonmeet website with Ticket information as well as the list of Traders. There will be probably be 2-3 more traders confirmed within the next few days who had reserved space or are on the reserve list.

The Trade Hall sold out very quickly this year and we have a number of traders on our reserve who were too late in applying for a stand. This is both good and not so good.

I'm really glad we're popular and the stands are in demand but it does show that maybe we should start looking for a slightly larger venue next year.

Added to our reserve list I've been contacted by several American traders in the last 10 days wanting to come over next year - which again is great is we can fit everyone in!!!!

I'm hoping we'll have more details on this years games schedule up before too long and once I figure out what's wrong with the other 'sponsors' logos I tried to upload (they corrupted in transfer) I'll be adding White Wolf, Leisure Games, ProFantasy Software and Cubicle 7 to our sponsors section.

Best wishes,

Angus Abranson
