Main gig news (for me) is that Apocalyptica are doing a UK tour at the end of the year. They will be playing at the Mean Fiddler (LA2) in London on Tuesday 11th December. I saw them a couple of years ago supporting Rammstein and they are one of the best bands I've ever seen live. This is a MUST SEE gig for me :)
I'm also very pleased to see that Paradfise Lost are supporting Type O Negative in June. I haven't seen Paradise Lost in what must now be over ten years. Looking forward to that one too.
Lastly, Thin Lizzy are apparetly playing London on Thursday 13th December. Now I've never been a Thin Lizzy fan but they are certainyl a blast from my childhood. What's making the gig slightly more appealing to me is that Queensryche are the support act!!!!
Last night Louisa (old housemate) came over to collect the cats. Louisa moved out at the end of February but we carried on looking after her two cats (Jizz and Wookie) whilst she got her new place sorted and until one of the guys who lived there moved out (as he wasn't a cat person).
So, last night she popped over and now the two kitties have a new home. It's odd not having them around the house. I woke up this morning and opened the bedroom dorr expecting to see them waiting for the first person to arise so they could be watered and fed. Yes, no little eyes and purrs greeted me today.
Part of me will certainly miss them, whilst another part of me is pleased that we are now a petless household again. They were indoor cats and weren't allowed outside so we couldn't have most of the windows open over summer. Also, if you have two cats in the summer who can't go out and a house whose windows can't really be opened you tend to get a very fragrant aroma waiting for you when you arrive back from work courtesy of their litter tray.
Yes, part of me certainly won't miss them :p
Anyway, it's my birthday today. I'm not really doing anything to celebrate this year. I went for a meal with Rosie at lunch time and we've just finished having a household take-away with Jade as she's also home this evening.
Although I have had today off work I've been blitzing loads of Cubicle 7 bits and pieces. Writing up contracts for Secret Project 2, sorting out Dragonmeet, proof reading the documents we're taking in for a pitch at the end of the month (Secret Project 3) and generally playing catch-up on a few things.
I really feel I could take a whole week off to just dedicate to Cubicle 7 and other projects at the moment but I also know I've a hundred things to do at Leisure Games at the moment so I'm just going to have to keep time managing myself (or attempting to at least ;p) tightly for a while.
I'm back at work tomorrow but it's Rosie's birthday then. Not sure what we're doing tomorrow night but it involves more food :p
