I had a relapse of my stomach bug after the Premiere on Sunday which laid me out completely. I got home from the show and went straight to bed before starting the rota of puke - puke - poo - puke - poo - poo. Well, something along those lines anyway.

This is pretty much the first time I've opened up LJ this week and I don't have time to read back through everyone's entries so please let me know if there is something that you feel I should have noticed or commented on, and apologies to everyone else for missing their posts.

I am feeling slightly better today but only managed two hours sleep last night (from about 4.30am to 6.30am). Unfortunately I wasn't spending it wisely as I was laying in bed feeling icky and trying not to get stressed over all the things I should have done over last weekend and the beginning of this week that I felt too ill to do. Caught up on alot of them this afternoon though and should be uptodate on the really important stuff by tomorrow.

Just wish my tummy felt better. I have lived on toast and water for the last few days although had boiled potatoes and ham for lunch today on someones reccomendation as a food that was ok to eat with a dodgy tum. It hasn't come up (or down) yet so fingers crossed it worked. It was certainly nice to have a different flavour and texture in my food after the last couple of days.

Anyway, I have a few announcements/updates to make but they'll have to wait until later as I really must finish some more work.

Hope everyone in LJ-Land is well (or atleast feeling better than me!) and catch up with you soon.

EDIT: Ok, after a brief skim of my Friends Pages it seems that quite a few of you guys and gals are suffering from various ailments including things similiar to me. You have my sympathy and I hope you all get well soon!

Starblazer Publicity - What is it with Page 23?

Starblazer Adventures, our forthcoming role playing game of intergalactic pulp rock n roll sci-fi based upon the Starblazer comic book series which ran in the UK from the late 70's to early 90's, has been getting some media attention recently.

We had a full page article in SFX Magazine which came out last week and we've also had an editorial news strip in Deathray - a recently new British science fiction magazine.

What is a bit odd though is that both times we've been featured on page 23.

Now 23 is a special number and I can only imagine that this bodes well for the success of the game and our secret plans to one day rule the world from the shadows.

Anyway, conspiracy theories aside, I'm really pleased that we're getting this exposure. It's very unusal for a role playing game to get column inches in anything outside of RPG press circles and especially for pretty much a brand new company with a game based upon a property that's been out of print for over 15 years and wasn't a household name even when it was available.

Both magazines have also said they will carry reviews of the game when it's released too which will be good extra exposure and with the announcement we're making about a new property this weekend we fully expect to be back in both magazines news pages sooner rather than later.

It'd be nice to see more RPG companies start looking at other non-hobby media to get exposure through. We've already received a few emails from people who saw the SFX feature enquiring about the game and I think if you select your mediums carefully you can access a fair amount of crossover crowd.

Let's face it, anything that brings new blood (or returning older blood) to the hobby is worth looking at.
