2010 and 'Decade' Round-Ups

This last day of not only 2009, but the first decade of the 21st Century sees me away from home and country and staying with a friend in Belgrade, Serbia. I've always enjoyed being out of the country for New Years Eve, but this is the first time I've managed it since I was going out with Delphine and spent a few NYE's in France with her and her friends.

Most recent NYE's have been a vague rotation of at home with friends or out clubbing. Haven't been out clubbing for NYE since B-Movie a few years ago though - generally I find clubs on NYE not as good as the rest of the year. Half the people you'd normally see most other weeks are off doing something else because of the occasion, the clubs charge a lot more, their is more *pressure and expectation* for people to enjoy themselves, cabs are atleast double the price *if* you can find an available one in the first place, and the streets/public transport are filled with really drunk people. Hardly an inviting prospect for an evening out :p

Anyway, I'm not at home this year which also means that I can't post up my Top 10's (or whatever) of the year like I usually do, nor can I give a rundown of the last decade and all the changes that this new century has brought. I'm back home on Friday 8th January so will no doubt get round to doing that post around then.

Until then I hope everyone has a really great New Years Eve, whatever you're up to this evening, and wish you all the best for 2010!
