It's been announced that The Dresden Dolls will be supporting Nine Inch Nails on their two sold out dates in London at the end of March. I'd not heard the Dresden Dolls before but have just been browsing their site watching some of the videos and they certainly look like they should be entertaining. lydiamorgan described them as a cross between Tori Amos and The Tiger Lillies and I think I'd agree with her on that score. There website describes them as punk cabaret and from the videos they certainly look like they have a solid performance-based background/
They will also be headlining their own gig on 19th February at The Scala in Kings Cross (London), as well as playing a few other dates around the UK so check out their website if you're interested in catching them!

I saw ATR at the LA2 one year. Can't remember who they were supporting, or if they were actually headlining. I think I went ona freebie from a record company at the time so it must have been circa 95/96.
I don;t remember them supporting NIN at Brixton, but then again I may very well have blanked them from my memory or just turned up late and missed them.
The Dresden Dolls intrigue me though and I'll certainly try and catch them.
Although Apocalyptica supporting Rammstein still remains possibly the best support band I have EVER seen :D

I dunno, when I saw the Chilies last there was some good awful band that got bottled off stage. It was one of the quietist audiences I've seen for a gig ever.

BTW Motorhead is standing.

I've seen some truly dreadful supports in my time. I must admit the reports of that band supporting the Chilli's are amongst the worst I've heard though.
