RPG Comment

Just found this quote about the German RPG Industry on a RPGNet Forum that I liked the sound of (although it's not good) and wondered how much it actually applies to most countries...

**Coca-Cola makes more profits with Roleplayers in Germany than most German publisher make turnover with their products.**

I reckon it's the same over here (UK) - especially if you start adding in pizza delivery services ;p

coke and rp
And over here in Belgium.
I'd vastly prefer the gang I hang out with to switch onto Ice Tea or fruit juices tho.

madmoses was once known for conisting mainly of Coke but in our later weekend long V:TM sessions, we usually drank pots and pots of various teas.

True about the pizza delivery companies, though, especially as a delivery pizza in Germany is about 2/3 the price compared to here.
The ones we used most often didn't even ring back to confirm the order after a while. However, we usually alternated with a Chinese/Asian delivery company.

That's a comparison between apples and oranges. RPG's are a one stop buy. You get and you got it. Consumables that you have to repurchase over and over again can only be compared to other consumables.

Coca Cola probably makes more money off of Popular Science subscribers than than Popular Science makes off of them. I know they do off of me. I buy around eight to ten sodas a week at work. Most of the time being Vanilla Coke. Plus if I go out to eat or stop of at the 7-11 afterwards and all that just adds more. The amount I spend on Coca Cola in a month alone is way over what I spend on my Popular Science subscription every year.
