Vegas No Show....

As some of my friends may have guessed by the mere-fact I'm posting today. I'm not coming to Vegas this year folks. Sorry :(

Things have conspired against me (not least the fact that every single bloody hotel in Vegas was booked up for this next week!!!!) so I'm going to have to miss a year. I may be coming over to Indy in August for the show there though so I'll hopefully catch a number of my American chums then or at Essen in October for those of you with a passport and willing to travel (grins and hides).

Anyway, I hope GTS is brilliant for all involved. Stick a dollar in the machines and have a drink for me. I'll be reading the reports on-line and wishing I was there!

Hugs to all

Oh good! I'm hoping to make Gencon Indy, and I'd love to finally meet you!

Just a non-industry geek girl on a budget, with no hopes of ever doing Essen.

If I confirm my Indy attendence I'll make sure everyone hears about it and then we can arrange times and places to meet. It'd be good putting faces to names :)

What a bummer. I'll be in Indy and at Essen though so will see you there.

Yes, come to GenCon Indy. We'll be there. OK, so perhaps that isn't so much of a reason to go. Errrr...you get a good steak at the Westin. Ummmm...the milkshakes at Steak N Shake are good. Oh, and there is games stuff going on. Apparently.

Yay! I'll probably be at Indy so we'll have to set aside some time for steak!! :)

Re: I've never been to essen...
It's a good show to go to even if you can't speak much/any German :p

I go on business and only stay on the Thursday/Friday as it gets too busy at the weekend for me to actually do any business! (The show pulls in about 150,000 over its four days! It is by far the biggest show on the games circuit worldwide!).

I'm not sure how much it actually costs with hotels, etc, but a four day Convention pass is €21 I think - which works out to about £14.

If you're interested in 'testing' it out one year let me know.
