Drunk on a schoolnight, oh my!

Tut, tut. Naughty me.

Left work and went straight to the pub for a 'quick' drink with an old friend. Ended up doing much chatting, watching Manchester United get kicked out of the Champions League by Porto (and Chelsea go through), consuming five pints, and staggering home via KFC several hours later.

Starting to feel slightly better now but did fall asleep in front of the telly whilst watching the end of Attack of the Clones on Sky with Dave and Sasha. One minute everyone was fighting in an arena with loads of lightsabers - the next was a wedding scene and closing credits.... hmmmm....

In other news, I've managed to loose my hearing in my left ear. Not good, especially in light of imminent long airplane trips and foreign buisness trips. Will go to doctors tomorrow for help.

Also, Alex and Steve from Esdevium are booked on the same outward flights to Vegas as I am so we'll be meeting up and travelling over together. Also spoke to Chloe from Darwin Project (Paris) today and will be meeting up with the French crew over there which will be good. Also more Brit companies attending this year so we can show the Yanks how to drink and then see them collapse under the table. Which reminds me, Steve and myself are due for a drinking competition and I owe him a tenner as I lost a bet in Germany, damnit.

In all likelihood, given what I've seen of "imported" alcohol in the US, it'll be a pale imitation of the real stuff. I had something that claimed to be Newkie Brown Ale in Providence, and it turned out to be a very watered down clone made in the US.

You basically know where you stand with spirits - beers in the US are another matter entirely.

Yeah, last year my Vegas drinking pretty much consisted of Southern Comfort. I'm not a beer person. Ciders, wines and spirits are much more my type of tipple. Especially good old Southern Comfort...
