Further on my last post regarding the Principality of Sealand I have been pointed towards a site that gives you information about forming your own country. The site is also after citizens for an as yet unnamed country that King Danny I has recently founded.....

I prefer Sealand.

I assume then that you missed "How To Start Your Own County" on BBC2 on Wednesday? First in a series by this guy Danny Wallace.

Could have been an interesting concept actually - things like Sealand are interesting, as was the piece in the programme on the ownership or otherwise of land on the moon. :) Unfortunately they've just started playing it for laughs now, I'd have preferred if he'd seriously tried to find a territory that was arguably claimable as sovereign territory.

I haven't seen the program but someone was talking to me about it earlier after I mentioned Sealand.

Might have to try and record the next episode (I'm either gaming on Wednesdays or off to gigs - ala Skinny Puppy this coming week)!

I agree Sealand is a much better idea than this Danny guys concept of turning his flat into a country.

There's absolutely shedloads of information online about Micronations. It's really quite interesting, and there's hundreds of self declared principalities, kingdoms, etc. They all appear to have websites, too. :)

Danny Wallace is a genius. JOIN ME is one of the funniest books I've read, and I'm currently reading YES MAN.

I hope he has to go through immigration every time he leaves his house. We don't have any truck with illegal immigrants here in Britain, oh gosh no.
