Peter Jackson and WETA have just been signed up to look after the HALO film.

Could be interesting seeing Jackson turn his hand to sci-fi but at the moment it sounds like he'll be producing it rather than directing....

Video game spin-offs have hardly been great in the past, or successful at the box office.
Jackson/WETA did a great job with LotR and King Kong looks like it's going to be splendid, too. Halo might have been revolutionary as console games go but it hardly makes for an exciting plot or subject matter.

Just because it's directed by Jackson and production-designed by WETA, doesn't mean it's going to be very good if the source is crap to start with.

But that's because Mila Jovovich is a babe and not because they're good films. :oP
