Horrible Dreams.....

Last night I had a dream that made me shiver in fear, plus allowed me more sympathy to a large part of the population.

In my dream my hair was seriously thinning and I was slowly going bald on top. I remember looking at myself in a mirror, at my whispy hair, and going "What am I going to do now?".

I'm luckily (hopefully) not going to experience hair thinning or balding in real life. My family have a long background of men with lots of hair - my Mum's father died with a full head of hair in his 90's! The only exception seems to have been my fatehrs father who was completely bald by the time he was 25! Somehow I don't think I've inherited those genes :p

Male pattern baldness is hereditary on the maternal side, meaning that you'll keep your hair ;)

It wouldn't matter if all your dad's family were baldies, if your mum's have lots of hair, that's what you'll have too :)

you are the last person in the world that I imagine would go bald, I just can't envision it.

Ah. Just do what John did. If it looks like you might be heading that way get it all cut off for charity. Nothing, but nothing looks worse than balding men with long hair... eeeewww.

On that note I might grow my hair again, I haven't wound up polli enough recently.

The answer to that is you find a good hairdresser, they can do wonders :)

Did you say Mr Torley was in town this weekend by the way?

Yep, I'm meeting him tonight for B-Movie and then we're hanging out tomorrow before heading to The College Arms. I doubt I'll be staying for the game though (haven't got a character sorted yet and also quite fancy seeing Mono at The Underworld tomorrow night).

Not sure what his plans are post-game or Sunday though.

My brother and my dad are both pretty much cue balls now, and my brother has been for the last 10 years, so you can't just rely on your mum's gene it seems. I still seem to have plenty on top though.

I don't think you'll be sharing a haircut with Bill Bailey for a while yet. Courage, mon brave!

My best mate Paul still refuses to have his remaining hair cut. This means that with his hair already gone from the front plus the scar on his forehead from a bad car smash he was in about 20 years ago, he does bear a striking resemblance to a Klingon. I also once made the mistake of saying if his new job didn't work out he could fill in as stunt double for the aforementioned Mr Bailey...he didn't find that at all flattering!

Cut it all off for charity anyway :)

Can't see what the fuss is with long hair, can always buy a wig, look at Aragorn, or Legolas, easy and cheap :)

If you're that paranoid, get it all cut off now, make a wig out of it, then you can be "Short and Sharp" Angus and "Because I'm worth it" Angus (tm) when the mood suits you.

Besides, short hair is good, women stroke it more because of the cat factor.....

I've had that dream! It was horrible. I woke up at 5 am and had to run to the bathroom to check in the mirror.

Being also of the long-haired variety, I fear ending up looking like Francis Rossi.

If there is anything that you don't have lots of, it ain't hair, dear :)
