Dyed Hair, Wigs and Me.....

After over 12 hours at work today (!!) I decided I'd come home order pizza and flake out in front of a DVD.

I guess I just have to admit that I'm a sucker for pretty women with dyed hair or coloured wigs. Just watched 'Run Lola Run' and the lead actress has very bright red hair. She is now in the ranks of Natalie Portman in 'Closer', Scarlett Johansson in 'Lost in Translation' and Linda Hardy in 'Immortel Ad Vitam'.

Mind you Linda Hardy had blue nipples in Immortel Ad Vitam too which was (possibly disturbingly?) a bonus! :D

I enjoyed Run Lola Run and am now about to embark on finding it's soundtrack.

Catch ya' all later!

Run Lola Run was pretty much the first in the new generation of German films that were actually good (other than unwatchable pretentious shite a la Wim Wenders or horrible idiotic "comedies"). Other examples recently were "Good-bye Lenin" and "Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei" (The Edukators).

Goodbye Lenin was anb excellent film. Haven't seen The Edukators. What's that about?

Oh, and RLR was Franka Potente's career start, really. She made it into the mainstream now (the Bourne films, Creep)

Two wannabe anarchists break into rich people's houses but don't actually steal anything, only rearrange the furniture, swap contents of cupboards/drawers and other pranks. They leave the message "Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei" (The rich years are over).
When one of their break-ins goes wrong (a woman got involved), things become interesting...
It has Daniel Brühl (the son in Lenin) in the main role, too.

I think I've seen trailers for that. It certainly rings a few bells.

Agreed. Run Lola Run was a very enjoyable film. Nice way to tell a story too.

Yeah. I also liked the cartoon bits thrown in ;p

Tsk, Angus I've been trying to get you to watch that film for years!

Well, anyway, ... the leading lady reminds me of Anya, a bit.

Between you and Uncle Gabby you've been trying to get me to do lots of things over the years - some less savory than others.

Glad I finally watched the film though :)

I can kinda see the Anya comparison.

Oh please... nice wholesome lad like Daver would never encourage you to do anything at all unsavoury!

And thanks to this post I had all sorts of weird dreams about dying my hair fire engine red again... (ahhh heady days of youth) but I guess there are worse weird dreams that I could have had that were inspired by your posts ;-)

I bet you watch Lazytown too...

oh, haven't heard of that one. Will have to investigate...

Its a children's show, but the very-young-looking presenter has a pink bob wig. Cause of much net-perve attention.

I've been meaning to watch Run Lola Run for years, but the techno soundtrack has always put me off (can't stand techno). I know what you mean about women with brightly dyed hair or wigs. They really do it for me too.

We've got the soundtrack somewhere

I have the sound track, it's rather good.

I actually had a friend a few years ago who was a dead-ringer for Franka Potente, except that she was from the U.S. When I first saw Run Lola Run the similarity totally freaked me out. Unfortunately I barely ever talk to my friend anymore since she moved to California. Last I heard she was single though...
