In just under ten minutes I go to war.

A rival alliance attacked one of our members and, unfortunately for them, another of their members is within easy striking distance from me. So is their actual Founder whom I may look at next.

This is the first real fleet battle I've experienced. It could go either way but I feel secure in my knowledge that House Warwick has a mighty fleet and The Immortals will overcome and destroy the infidels of the PLUK Alliance.

In any case, this should be interesting....

I'm telling ya dude, Newt is going back to the stone age for this morning's attack.

One thing I have learned today though, solar satellites are rubbish.

Solar Satellites are a good quick fix when you need extra energy but can't afford to build actual Solar or Fusion Plants. But they should not be relied on as they are the first to go in a strike.

So it would appear, three hours after the attack, I'm still having to micromanage my production just to keep the energy levels up.

And I forgot to ask, what's the URL of that site that runs combat simulations you mentioned earlier? I deleted the PM with it on, d'oh!

Can't you resolve your differences peacefully through a polite exchange of ideas? What about the wives and children of the electrons you're sending to die? Have you considered they're feelings?

Shouldn't you consult with all the appropriate parties in the area? Striking at someone just because they're in an alliance with an aggressor seems a bit much, doesn't it? Wouldn't it be more appropriate to form a coalition to strike at the real aggressor?

You can bet I'll have an angrily worded editorial in the Times by morning!

It gets worse.
I'm enjoying closing down colonies.
Every game should have a button marked 'Destroy Planet?'

Can you build a Death Star? I hear they're the ultimate power in the universe.

Or can you build Berzerkers? That would be even more of an object lesson.

You can build a Death Star!
(hardest thing to research and build, but possible)
No berzerkers though.

i just noticed that you've started using tags. when did lj add tags as a feature?

you might also be interested in adding technorati tags as well as this seems to be a growing trend. If you have trouble wth the html you can just create it using Ultraseeker

Tags started up sometime late last year.

Will have a look at the links when I get back home (about to rush out to my mothers for the mothers day type meal :p)

Well, I may be a long way away, but I can send a recycler to help mop up! :-)

PS- can we not do too many wars until I have Anti-Ballistic missiles? :-)

So did you fight like a Kirk or a Picard? Or *shudders* like a Janeway?
