I've been *extremly* quiet on the social front since I got back from the US. I've had a load of work to do - both for the shop and also for Cubicle 7 - so as opposed to going out socialising with my fellow mankind I've pretty much shut myself away in my room trying to avoid spending too much time on ogame (curse them).
There will be quite a big announcement about Cubicle 7 Entertainment next week which I'm very happy about. I think it'll be coming out either Thursday or Friday so those few of you who know about it please keep tight lipped till then :p
I've also discovered that my previous troubles with graphic designers is not limited to poor old me. Several of the companies I spoke to at GTS complained of bottlenecks in production when it came to the layout stage. Either unreliable or just plain scarce seemed to be the major complaints. Happily I've now had some offers from people who I consider both reliable and talented so the production 'bottleneck' will hopefully be overcome in regards to our future releases (he says praying he hasn't spoken too soon!).
To be honest I think quite a bit of my time for the foreseeable future is going to be taken up on various Cubicle 7 related things. It needs to be done and I really want to see this moving forward alot quicker and working. I've been so lucky with the breaks I've had that I don't want to squander them.
Saying that though I think by next weekend I could seriously be needing to go out for a drink or two. I've not been clubbing properly for sometime and haven't been drinking with mates for...you know, I don't know when I last went out drinking with a bunch of mates. How sad is that! All work and no play..... ahem. Wrong mind set Mr Abranson. :p
I guess it's also a pretty good job that I have no love interests on the go, or even on the horizon (or even on the edges of outer space...) at present. Although spring is creeping in and come spring/summer Angus' generally start getting twitchy on that front being the 'one with nature' child that they are!
hehe...who am I kidding.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling and get on with some more work. Catch you all laters and I hope you're having a great time and an enjoyable weekend so far!
(PS - I really like Jack White's (he of The White Stripes) new band The Raconteurs new song. Will certainly hunt down more of their material when it becomes available. Also Dirty Pretty Things (basically The Libertines without smackhead Pete) are surprisingly good. Glad Pete went off to do the appalling bad Babyshambles as the other guys have talent and can now come into there own!)
