Welcome, Welcome..... (new friends...)

I ahould really be getting ready for B-Movie as we're leaving in 20 minutes but hell, I thought I'd make a quick entry and say hello to some new friends who've joined in the fun over the last week or so. I don't think I know all of you so please feel free to leave a message to say hi and who you are ;-p

So welcome aboard.....

acestatic  of sunny Florida

corpsie  from the best city in the world (aka London)

crocodilewings  of not so sunny Manchester

sweetdenial  from Seattle (yay! used to live near there myself!)

felineparadox  of Edinburgh (I have a name like Angus and have still never been to Scotland!)

Also an honorable mention to dj_steve_rbn  although he's been posting away already so I knew he'd joined. Hmm, better stop now as we're supposed to be picking him up at 8!

Hope you all (and my other friends) have a great weekend and to talk to everyone sooner or later!

You've moved to Liverpool? Was that for university or something?

I did move to Liverpool for Uni, but I was only there for a year. I've been back in not-so-sunny-but-better-than-liverpool-Manchester for the past couple of years.

Hi Angus,

Greetings from one rain soaked city to another.

(It's all Mort, really.)

Who am I? Hmmm, good question, I find I ask that one alot myself too.

Oh I know... How about the round the campfire type greeting

My name is Jack, and I've been a SLA player since DaveA showed up one mysterious October in Seattle four or five years ago. DaveA spooked the crap out of a group of people he had collected around canth? and Raoul, to play SLA with. It took about 4 of days of Role-Play, in the end only a few Shaktars died, and a wraith raider got..well Ummm, uhhhh, we're still not sure what happened really, but it's classified as hell now. (The character's name was Innocence, you can only imagine what Dave did to him for that choice) A complete success for a J. Rathbone plot some might say.

I (somewhat) recently discovered that you guys are in league doing Evil Things(tm.), and I want to know all about them, and you. I'm a stalker like that, but like most humans I'm mostly harmless. I figured that since LJ was like mind dribblings and running dialogue that it's just one more way to make friendly and get to know you, hope you don't mind, you can always return the favour.

So hello there, nice to meet you, I hope that we can become friends in more than just LJ cyberspace.

Hmmm, more important things about me. I'm a SLA junkie and want to visit all you crazy people across the pond.

When's the next SLA-con?

I also have in my possession, TWO original pieces of SLA art, a side view of a grinning Mr. Slayer with the caption "Money Talks, Bullshit Walks", and a lovely face sketch of 'Glass' sporting a sexy topknot.

Well enough about me for now. I hope I made the cut. (laugh)

Hi Jack, welcome aboard! I'll mention to Dave that you posted (he also has an LJ now, username daver2323 - its an IC horror story he's working on).
I'm not sure when the next SLACon is taking place as its organised by the fans over here and we have little official involvement in it apart from turning up and having drinks brought for us ;-p
It's probably worth your while joining the SLA mailing list. Just send an email to station-analysis-subscribe@topica.com and you'll be subscribed.
Hope you enjoy the Evil Things(TM) that we have planned for SLA over the next few years! ;-p

I suppose I should introduce myself properly. I'm Ian, and you know me by face even though we haven't really spoken (except when I'm a paying customer- but that doesn't count)

For general reference I'm the silly looking flouncy Goth you see at Full Tilt/B-Movie.

I'm pretty sure I know who you are :-)

You were at B-Movie on Friday weren;t you? I think we nodded at each other but didn't actually get a proper chance to say hi.

Next time I see you (or the person I think is you...) I'll say hi properly.

Take care, and there's nothing wrong with being a flouncy Goth. I used to have many a well-loved flouncy shirt - they just don;t look so good on me anymore ;-p

Yes, that's me, it seems all we do is nod at each other. At least now I've got an excuse to harass you apart from "thanks for introducing me to Fluxx"

The flouncy shirt has to be better than drag *shudder*

Flouncy shirts are certainly better than drag IMO! I was definetly drunk when I thought drag was a good birthday idea. The problem is that one of my erstwhile housemates still thinks it's a good idea and also sinbadsilk is now trying to get us to have a drag zombie party.

When will it end!
