* Labour reeling after Prescott admits affair
* Wife "devastated"
* Clarke to resign?
Now obviously in the 'real world' the top two headlines are about the same thing (the affair of Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott... Prescott Admits To Having Affair; BBC News Online Wednesday 26th April 2006) but the latter refers to our bumbling Home Secretary Charles Clarke and the news that over 1,000 foreign prisoners held in UK jails for crimes as bad as murder, rape and child sex abuse were released back into society and not considered for deportation (Clarke: Blair Told Me Not To Quit; BBC News Online Wednesday 26th April 2006).
But in an alterative universe not too far away I read it as Prescott admitting to his affair with Clarke. In either case Prescott's wife is still "devastated" but in one of them there is a *really* juicy scandal for the Labour government to ride though :p
