Prediction: Cancelled Trips in the Offing

I have a strong feeling that I'm going to have two trips cancelled on me in the next week. A friend and myself were planning a weekend getaway in Paris next weekend and a week-long escape in Barcelona in February.

I'm giving it three days before I hear the news they can't make it. I'm willing to put money on that happening too ;-p

Bugger.

I might still run away to Paris next weekend anyway as I could really do with a break and think Paris is one of the most beautiful cities I've been to. It'd also be an excuse to pick up some more French RPG's and graphic novels, meet up with Delphine and also try and go for a few drinks with some other friends over there.

As for Barcelona - I think that ones dead and buried. Shame as I fancied a longer non-work related trip abroad. If anyone fancies a few days away let me know and we'll see what we can do!

And yes Tim - I know I should try and come over to Prague soon (grins).

Take care folks!

Sympathy. But do go to France -- you know I love the place too. :)

(This is Genevieve Cogman, btw. Hi there!)

Oh, and have my emails re Scales been getting through to you? I keep on having to jump hurdles through some sort of spamcheck thing . . .

Hi Genevieve,

Thanks for the post. I'm phoning a friend over in france to see if they can make Paris next weekend and if they can then I'll almost certainly go.

I have actually got an email from you from last weekend. I actually mentioned to Chris (kit_hartford) at lunch yesterday that I had to contact you about Scales and had been a bit lax. I'll mail privately you later this afternoon or early evening when I get back home.

Take care,

Trips
It's not a week-long one, but I'm planning a four-day outing to Venice in February, for the city's Carnival. Wanna come? :)

Sounds like a possibility. What are the dates my dear?

Angus,

If you do head over to Paris give me a yell. There's a French-language RPG book I'm after (a translation of one of the WW ones) but I singularly failed to get to a game store on any of my trips last year (too much partying :-p)

Paris is off for this weekend. I spoke to Delphine earlier and it'd be tricky for her to make too so I'm rainchecking it.

I aim to be over there within the next couple of months though so give me a shout if ou haven't picked the book up by then.

Is that the Friday night you're thinking of? One of my other friends has asked me if I want to go to that one. I'm tempted as a prelude to the Ballroom as I'm going to try and go there this week as I want as many Full Tilt fixes as possible before it closes in March (whimpers).

Then the great Club Search Experiment begins in earnest to find me a new home. Alternatively I could start pestering Sexbat and Charlie Mouse at B-Movie to move it to a larger venue and become more than just once a month.... hmmm....
