Yeah? Remember me saying that?
Well, I have pretty much had most of the day at home apart from:
a) Going in and opening the shop because Mike was stuck in traffic coming down from Cambridge (he actually ended up walking in at 9.30 on the dot so I didn't really need to go in). As I was at the shop I then ended up staying their for an hour or so sorting a few things out.
b) I then had a business lunch with corone at The Dignity (where all good meetings are held :p) which was actually very good. Some of the ideas he's got for Game X are very good and I'm especially liking his ideas for Game XY (an offshot series from Game X) which allow me to resurrect an old game idea that I was beginning to worry would never now see the light of day. We're also going to announce acquisition of Game X at GenCon Indy as I'm hoping to have had real movement on the SLA front by then and avoid being lynched by the SLA fans who have been ever-so-patient so far.
So apart from working for most of the morning and then having a business lunch - I did kinda have a day off to catch up. Of course looking at my 'To Do' list it seems I've done pretty much bugger all but I'll just have to try and catch up with the rest on Friday night and Saturday afternoon post-Superman and pre-party.
Keyvan has also extended his holiday in Iran by a further week (well he did ask and as he was there already I said ok) which delays my plans to take a week off by an additional week...grrr... I really need a full week off asap so I can sort out a load of things and try and pull myself up to date.
Still, it looks like I might actually be doing some writing again :)
I'm also in the throws of possibly sorting out an assistant to help with some of the business side of affairs and general co-ordination.
Gee... I feel my little games company is actually becoming slightly bigger. Part time/commissioned-based staff and everything :)
Well, maybe in the next couple ofmonths anyway :p
