Coalition of Three?

A picture tells a thousand words...

May you go to hell Mr Blair...

Britain and America's actions (or lack thereof) are disgraceful. Not only has the leadership of these two countries got blood on their own hands because of Iraq they are now implicating themselves with the blood of civilians in Lebanon, Israel and Gaza.

unfortunately all of this has been true for some time and labour still won teh last general election

this will probably have no effect on who wins the next one in a few years time

Because there really isn't anyone else.
Also the problem with Labour is Blair, not Labour per se.

I'd had enough of it in 1996, but nobody listened to me then.

Very well done indeed, I'm impressed.

I want a new government :(

That's the flaw there.

It's a shame you cant read the text next to the words "yes" and "No"

Margret Becket (i think) does make a reasonably valid point

If Israel stop bombing who is going to stop Hezbolah firing rockets into Israel? (not exactly what she said but that is the gist of her point)

I never thought I'd say this, but: he is worse than thatcher, or at the very least just as bad...
Jul. 21st, 2006 12:45 pm (UTC)
Steady now
Let's not go crazy.
Nowhere near as bad yet, and he'll be gone soon.

Re: Steady now
he'll be gone soon - maybe, but never soon enough.

whoever'll come next (new labour or tory 'proper') being much better - I doubt it, unfortunately.

And I accept nobody can rival thatcher (yet), but he's doing a VERY good job at trying and he's not far off on many fronts.

And what makes it even worse for me is that while from tories you expect it, Labour is supposed to be a socialist party, or in any case gets the vote of many people who think they're voting socialist.

I don't think it's entirely fair to post a picture that has text on it that can't be read.
With some of that text taken account of the picture becomes very different.
And in fact, I mostly support our stance on this as a result of that text and that text alone.

So yes. That picture is VERY damning.
But only because the facts are being left out of view.

Unfortunately I can't get a high enough res of the image to make out the words. I might pop to a local newsagents and grab a copy to reveal what the words say as The Independent's website doesn't repeat them.
Jul. 21st, 2006 01:29 pm (UTC)
I don't know what the Yes words are, but the No words really do state our position very clearly, and it is a good position.

Basically, we don't want to force Israel into a ceasefire that means they just get bombed continuously as we can't do anything about Hezbollah.

I'm personally for a ceasefire, as long as it's from all involved and people just stop killing each other.
