Whilst we're on the topic of music have a listen to Protocol (http://www.myspace.com/protocol). They are one of my housemates ex's bands and have already had one Top 30 hit with "Where's The Pleasure" which is certainly tinged with 80's influences :p

The 80's influene is affecting a lot of bands over here at the moment. I'm discovering new ones every bloody week - which whilst good is certainly not helping my wallet!

Oh, and I shouldn't neglect to mention 'Suzerain' (http://www.myspace.com/suzerainmusic) who I've heard live but not seen. They sounded really good but we were foolishly sitting outside the tent they were playing in, soaking up the sun, drinking beer and watching the England-Ecuador world cup match on a big screen. I think there were several of us who seriously considered going and watching them partway through that game ;p

Actually, Suzerain sounded better live than the tracks they have up on myspace (although I like New Solution quite a bit :p).

Sorry to hear you won't be at GenCon. I'll have to find myself and Mr Blair a new drinking buddy to make up the Triad :)
