I didn't intend to but I decided I needed to get out of the house and go for a walk (partially because I was restless and partially because the girls had the central heating on all day and the house was way too warm for it to be a healthy Angus environment - I prefer things cooler).
My walk led me past The Catcher on The Rye. A nice drinking hole in Finchley that I rediscovered my love for a few weeks ago. I thought "why not" (as you do) and popped in for a pint only to be confronted by all the usual barmaids completely gothed up for Halloween and all the televisions playing The Rocky Horror Picture Show with various members of the clientelle dressed up to the nines in costume.
I brought my pint and sat back and soaked in the atmosphere from the corner. So it wasn't a particularly socialable evening but it did get me away from things for a while and allowed me to relax and cool down. Plus I had pretty things to look at and a trip down memory lane as I'd not seen the film for several years.
Am continuing with my evening of rest and am going to bed to read and have an early night. Tomorrow I aim to be ultra productive and also aim to kick this off by a first thing trip to the gym for various tortures and also a nice swim.
