The latest Dork Tower Strip :D

It seems I have once again been fictionalised - although this time I'm not a bloodsucking, back-stabbing vampire (see The Brujah Trilogy published by White Wolf a few years ago). This time I have moved from novel to comic strip. The comic strip being the fantastic Dork Tower that I've mentioned several times recently as muskrat_john has brought one of his characters (Ken) over to London from the States to attend Dragonmeet - a convention that is taking place this Saturday (eek!!).

I have to say a massive thansk to John for this. I didn't know he was planning a London strip and certainly wasn't expecting a cameo appearence.

Anyway, here it is :D

Now ship John over first class on the double. You owe him that and you have 24 hours. The clock starts now.

The first time I met John was at the first new Dragonmeet (the one not at Kensington Hall), in the queue to get in. We chatted about stuff then you came along and said "John, you don't have to wait in the queue" and only then I realised who he was because I had no idea what he looked like. He's such a nice bloke...

Who were you in the Brujah trilogy?
Dec. 1st, 2006 07:59 am (UTC)
I was 'Angus Abranson' the Toreador Seneschal of Minneapolis (I think that was the city anyway) and long term friend of Theo Bell (the main character in the series).

I was in books 1 & 2 (Slave-Ring and The Overseer) but apparently didn't make it to book 3 (The Puppet-Masters) due to an unfortunate encounter with another character un the series called Delphine. I appeared in both the modern-day story and osme of the Victorian-era flashbacks.

Tim, who wrote the books, had asked if he could use Delphine and myself as characters one night after a drinking session. I'm not sure if we believed he would (or if we really remembered he was) but when the books were released we were both in them. I never finished the first book as reading all the 'Angus' sections and comments just became a bit weird for me. I should really go back to it at soempoint as I'd like to see how I ended my days! hehe...

I now realise why I don't remember, I only read the Brujah Clan Novel, not the trilogy.

Heh, cool.

Is there no end to the 'things I'm already trying not to be envious of Angus about' list? I'm working hard on the 'really good, successful games shop', I've given up on trying for the 'rock and roll gigs and lots of international travel lifestyle' but this? Dammnit, There's no way (short of charity auctions perhaps) that I'm likely to get Kovalic'd...

Wow! That's too cool. I hope you're going to frame it. Or turn it into a giant banner!

Very fab,
not used to seeing you as a blonde though! :-)

John must have confused you with those pictures of that angelic little boy that you keep using as an icon :-)

very cool

A bit of selective cropping and a polite request
And it wouold make the coolest Icon. Go on Angus, you owe it to yourself! And besides, we're bored with the Southern Comfort one.

BTW John has just put me and pengshui_master off any plan we might have to go to a US con. No Beer? NO WAY!
