(Play) A Pleasing Terror

I had a gentleman approach me at Dragonmeet when I was hanging around the enterance desk wanting to know if he could hand out some flyers. Being a bit dubious about people handing out flyers I checked to see what they were and they turned out to be for a small stage show called 'A Pleasing Terror' which is based upon two ghost stories from MR James who died over 70 years ago. The man (whose name I can't remember although he emailed me at my work account) was wondering if they'd appeal to anyone at the show who might like HP Lovecraft.

Well, he'd obviously done a bit of homework about the show and I'm keen on helping plays so I let him in.

I thought I'd also plug the show here as it's taking place at the New End Theatre in Hampstead between 16th December - 6th January.

It sounds like it could be quite fun.

Does anybody fancy seeing if we can organise a theatre trip to see it?

Interested :D
Would have to depend on what day you're planning.
Saturday's would be best (personally)
The usual impediments to having fun, being work and travelling would be the crippler for me.
Is there a ticket order line, or would a pay up front and group booking scenario work better??
Inquiring minds(?) would like to know!

The only Saturdays that would be good for me would be the 30th December or the 6th January (the last night).

I'll have a look into how to order tickets and if they have discounts for Group bookings, etc.

I could always offer you a sofa (or floor space) to crash on if you need somewhere.

I'll keep you informed of how plans shape up in anycase :)

Sounds fun. Unfortunately it's a little far for me. :)

Think of the Road Trip! (OK Sea or Air Trip!)
Think of the Memories!
Think of the New Friends Discovered!

Go on, it'd be something to tell the grandkids! :p

I was looking at this this morning and thinking that I really ought to look at going along, so yes, I'd definitely be interested.

M R James is Ye Bombe, and if it was on here I'd probably go. But if anyone doesn't know his work - they are actual ghost stories, with a genteel and scholarly flavour, and not really like Lovecraft at all.
