Italian Football : Cancelled

Wow.

The Italian Football Federation has cancelled every Italian football match indefinetly. All League matches. All amateur matches. All International matches.

The latest move comes after a policeman died at a match in Sicily this evening and another has been critically injured. This follows some of the worst violence in football that occured across a load of matches in Italy last weekend from amateur level all the way up to Serie A matches. This violence also resulted in the death of a club official who was punched during violence between players and fans at amateur side Sammartinese.

I heard that on the news this morning. I think it's a great idea, best way to deal with unruly children is to take away their toys until they learn.

The policeman being killed at a match (even if not intentionally) is quite mad, I guess they must be reaching a point like English football did with the hooligans. Hope they get it sorted.

We should have done this during the 80s, but no. We didn't.
