I went in because I've been having spine/chest/neck pains all week since flying bak from the States.
I'm putting it down to a really bad chair on the flight (the cushion was loose and I didn't have much leg room - even with an aisle seat).
Anyway, it's lingered and I've been getting sharp reminders every so often. Rosie was also fretting and telling me to go to the Docs. So I popped in this morning to arrange an appointment for hopefully later today. The recpetionist listened to my symptoms and told me immediately to go to the waiting room. A doctor saw me within about two minutes - which I must admit didn't settle my nerves.
So, blood pressure taken, lots of listening to my chest/breathing, heart rate, touching my toes, applying pressure on things with my hands and checking out my ankles for swelling and swinging my arms later they've concluded that it probably is just a muscular problem and not something mroe sinister.
Still, I've been advised that it I become short of breath and continue to get chest pains I should immediately go to the nearest Casulaity Unit.
Joy of joys.
I don't think this will happen (and I certainly hope it doesn't) but if you don't hear from me for a few days it might be worth checking
If everything goes well I should be seeing Spiderman 3 Saturday morning with Rosie, Andy & Toos and then hopefully going for lunch at nando's or somewhere. Saturday night should see me at The Underworld to see Racine (Wendy James of Transvision Vamps new band). Sunday is an All-Hands Cubicle 7 Staffers Meeting followed by Dom and me finally playing some more Memoir '44 or Battlelore (Rosie is off to dance at a club in Leicester this Sunday and Doms wife is away in Ireland with their kid for a week). Monday should be spent at home doing some work and cuddling up with Rosie upon her return.
So, barring any emergencies, it should be quite a fun weekend!
