Slimelight Sound - A Near Miss

On reading the reports of the sound engineering at Slimelight for the Screaming Banshee Aircrew gig on Saturday I'm now very pleased I wasn't tempted out!

It sounds like the venue had a new sound engineer for the night who royally f**ked things up. SBA apparently considered calling the gig off after their soundcheck went so badly but struggled on for a shortened set instead.

Hope to catch them in a couple of weeks when they play the Electric Ballroom (suppporting Cruxshadows I think?).

Sound there is getting worse with time, and I thought it was not possible.

They will have to get their act togheter by december for Elusive and VoM...

Actually the sound equipment for live gigs at Slimelight has got much better over the last couple of years, but what can be got out of it mainly depends on the skill of the sound engineer - as it does at any venue.

I totally agree, they did change a lot of the really bad equipment, but the positioning and the skills of the Sound Engineers they employ leaves a lot to be desired....

Bob (who wasn't in on Saturday) is a brilliant engineer. I don't know the guy that was doing it instead.

Yes, supporting Cruxshadows.... as I'll be way too busy to see Cruxshadows at Mera Luna as there are other bands/bad hangover, I will be surely going to this one...
