Finally got round today (at lunch) to see the teaser trailer for the JJ Abrams (Lost) new 'Monster' flick which is being released in the States on 18th January. It's currently untitled and has been going under the working name 'Cloverfield'.
Apparently Mr Abrams came up with the idea when he was in a toy store in Japan with his kid and saw all the Godzilla toys! In any case, I'm all up for seeing Monsters vs New York!!!

28 Weeks Later was especially bad for this. When I go to the cinema I want to see a visual effects blockbuster, not a home movie that hides more than it shows.
(I did like 28 Weeks Later, but I went to see action, not the 'suggestion' of action).

Seeing as he's claimed it's not a remake or sequel, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing more :-D
Lets hope its worth the wait :-D
Oh and 2 new TV series to watchout for, that might make it over for the US of A.
