Holy shit!
And I thought The Night Watch was made of win! Even just the trailer for The Day Watch blows it out of the water!

That's so freaky! I was thinking about NightWatch just this evening and wondering when the next film was coming out - and that I should buy NightWatch on DVD.

Just a superb film :)

Not in England yet? Odd. It went from Russia to here and skipped you guys.

Yeah, there's a preview screening at the London Horror Film Festival (Frightfest) in the next few weeks.

It is an odd one as Britain got Nightwatch several months before the US did. I don't know why we got the turnaround with the new film :(

The novels are far superior to the great films. If any setting should be made into an RPG setting...

You going to be in Indy again this year?

THe Novels are ace. Am waiting for the third to be translated. It helps having my Mrs work at the SSEES library :)

Yeah, it's available in the UK too. I brought Twilight Watch off Amazon about a month or so back (although I haven't gotten round to reading it yet...)

I saw the preview a couple of months ago at a screening in Angel. Hopefully they have taken the audience's views on board - generally Day Watch was very disappointing and they seemed to have made the trilogy into only two films. In Day Watch, you can see that it is very Hollywoodised. Lots of big action scenes and the plot didnt make too much sense because they had tried to condense two books into one film

A Russian friend of mine said that Daywatch was panned in Russia and didnt do as well as the first.

well I loves it!
I was at the same preview as rockoctopus and I'; think she's on crack. (sorry hon)

Honestly I thought it was as good as the first film, but with a much more convaluted plot, then again the universe 'rules' had been established in the first film so there is more room for eye popping graphics.

The only thing I can say is that i really really REALLY hope they relased the dubbed version at the cinema here and NOT the dubbed version.

Though it looks a bit like they've abandoned the fairly dark and grubby feel of the first in favour of a Russian version of The Matrix where anybody can do anything. If that's the lead character from the first film I saw in there, he's gained a lot of new schticks.
