Whilst in contrast to my last post...

...to counterbalance my last post.

Today has also been very rewarding on the publishing side of the biz. We've been talking to a company about another big license for several months and have just been given the terms of a possible deal.

Fingers crossed the next few weeks of negotiations go well and we may be able to announce another coup this summer for publication in 2009 :)

I am getting far more enjoyment out of the publishing biz these days than from the retail store (even without 'incidents'). I reckon things will have to change this year for me to concentrate on what's making me a lot more happier and has, in truth, a lot more prospects for building my future.

Good luck.

Hope its not the Star Trek one, thats been the kiss of death on the last 2 companies that tried it (LUG and Decipher).

No. Not Star Trek.

This particular one isn't even sci-fi.

I've never been a fan of Star Trek but that doesn't mean we'd never license it (if we ever got the opportunity to and the price was right!). But no, Star Trek isn't even one we've spoken about let alone talked to.

Star Trek does seen cursed as a game line!
We're had 3-4 versions so far and none managed to last too long. :-)

Any word on Normal, Texas yet?

Now that the madness of the last six months is out of th way I've started looking at our production schedule and the games we've had a bit in limbo for the last few months (due to time more than anything else).

I'm looking at both Normal, Texas and QIN: Warring States in the next 14 days with the view of inalising/sorting some bits out and then getting them on a firm production schedule.

I don't know why but January (so far) has been a lot easier to catch up on lots of things whereas the months preceeding it just seemed to be one hellish rush with never enough time. I'm not entirely sure what has changed (maybe I have finally mastered time???) but I'm glad it has.

Maybe the Dr Who licence has some fringe benefits!

Any news on a second printing of Victoriana Second Edition?
I assume the first printing is sold out.
